in the book: Best of friends from 1985 Dan Garrett wrote a rub a dub force by the name:

"Force-Ooth" (page 268)

In his method you force a different card from your hand.

In my version the card is already on the table Laid on another card

After you reveal 1 card take 2 cards together and put them on the table

rub a card and spread the top card to make it appear

A friend magician told me In the DVD devil's picturebook, Derren brown play with a very similar move (3 card routine)
